I can't believe it.
I think I may have lost my passport. Misplaced it would be a better description. I have been ransacking my rooms both at home and at the office since last Thursday looking for the @#$% thing. Habis semua kena selongkar. The plus side of it is that my spring cleaning is actually done for the first half of the year.
Fyi, I have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). It's not too serious but one of the traits it brings out in me is this thing about keeping my stuff in the same place at all times. And for 30+ years of my life, this trait has always been trustworthy. You will need to ask people with similar OCD traits to understand this. If my stuff are not where they are supposed to be, the world will collapse on me. I have always trusted my OCD to keep my belongings at the same place at all times. It has made life so much easier for me when I started misplacing things last year.
But my passport is not where it's supposed be. I seriously cannot locate it. I've searched high and low for it. I always, always keep my passport in this one safe place. Manalah pergi bendallah nie. I must have misplaced it when I came back from my Bandung trip in March last year.
Yelah, orang jarang-jarang sangat guna passport. I always take for granted that it would be where I always keep it. Tapi masalahnya sekarang, benda tu tiada di tempat simpanan biasanya. Nak carik kat mana lagik nie, uolsz?? =(
And I'm supposed to leave Wednesday evening. What if I can't find it in time? =(
Nak gi jumpa bomoh lar. Ngee.. =P
PS:
Moral of the story, please make sure you look for your passport a minimum of a little bit over 30 days in advance before you need to use it. That's the length of time the Immigration Department will need to investigate your case and re-issue you a new passport. Oh, and don't forget that you will first need to file a police report declaring your missing passport.
