Kuala Lumpur City Day Run 2010

To show my love for the town where I was brought up in, I decided to join the run. (Yeay, right!!) Actually, JT signed up the usual pack for the run. It's my first run for the year 2010. It's just 7km. (JUST???!!!) A good distance to start the year with. Takut kalau 10km, pengsan terus.

I got up early yesterday morning. It didn't start out too well. I got ffk-ed by almost everyone except for our Mr Medal Chaser. One had a stomach upset, one was tired, one lost his running number, one had a fever and one didn't answer the phone at all. I almost turned back home to continue my beauty sleep. But since I was already up, and I had Mr Medal Chaser to accompany me, what the heck..

Flag off was at 7:30am directly infront of the SAS building opposite Dataran Merdeka. The weather wasn't too bad. And because it was 7km, I managed to come in before 8:30am and before the sun began to shine too warmly for my taste.

That's Mr Medal Chaser's number.

And that's Mr Medal Chaser himself. He clocked in at about 30 minutes in 171st placing. The first runner came in at 25 minutes. In the space of 5 minutes, there were 169 runners between him and the first place winner. Damn, these folks can really run fast!

That's my number. For the first time, I ran in the women's veteran category. I came in 39th (or was it 38th?) and clocked in at 58:40 minutes. Quite slow for a makcik. But then, I've always ran slow. Short stamina and short legs, you know.

Trying to express my disappointment and frustration at being ffk-ed by everyone. Ahahaha sob sob sob.. Konon-kononnya chomel lar tuh.. NOT!
