This was 10km. Yesterday, around the Bukit Jalil National Stadium area. I clocked in at 78:08 minutes. It's a good time for me. I have not been able to run under 80 minutes for the last past 10km runs I ran in. So, an improvement, if just a little, makes me more than happy.
The route was horrendously challenging but not quite as horrendous as Shah Alam's Adidas King of the Road. The last hill was a killer. And the part where we had to run through the park was definitely not one of the high points of the run for me.
Was was the high point of the run for me?
Running with these three fellas. Well, of course we didn't run side by side. It's the thought that running the same run with them, is what makes it fun. Thank goodness they did not ffk me this time. If they had, sure sentap tahap gaban dengan they alls till the next week. Ahahaha..
That's Mr Medal Chaser (medal chaser for top placing, of course). He ran in the Men Open 15km category. They flagged off at 7am. He ran passed me not long after the 10km category was flagged off. I almost jumped 10km into the sky when he tapped my shoulder from behind. Of course he reached the finishing line before me; despite me running 10km and him running 15km. He got quite a good placing, in fact. I just can't remember the number. Hehehe..
CEO MK International and Lelaks Pink's numbers respectively. Men Open 10km. That's the finishing medal our CEO here is holding near his number. Everyone who made it to the finishing line received one.
This is my number. Women Open 10km.
Miss Tan and her gorgeous Jap looking boyfriend was there too. They ran 15km. Terrer betol. I sure pengsan one if I had to run 15km. Some more it's only my second run of the year. If I had run 15km, this would be my last run for the year. I would have been dead flat. I don't train vigorously for my runs. I just do my usual classes and only run to help maintain my fitness level so that I don't pass out every time I have to do my classes.
There were a few other gym mates at the run too. I met Chewbacca whilst running. He was another fella who tapped my shoulder while over taking me on his 15km run. And I heard that a certain Miss LK made 6th place for the 10km Women Open category. And on her first run some more. Manyak terrer worr..
Aksi-aksi selepas berlaras.
That's all for now. Till the next run, folks. Just keep on running, k. ;-)
