Met up with some TeSL mates last night for dinner and drinks. A mate from Perak was in town and wanted to meet up. So, we did. I managed to get another mate to join us. And so, the three of us, plus the Perak mate's hubs got together over dinner. We had a jolly time eating, drinking, chatting, gossiping and, believe it or not, debating. Heavy stuff. Not for the weak-hearted like me. Hoh.
Our mate's hubby started talking about legalising gambling and prostituting in our country and it became an all out debate between him and Little Miss Pearl Jam Fan. Makcik and the wifey mostly nodded and shook our heads when ever we agreed or disagreed on anything they said. We managed to get a few words in but it was all between the two of them. At times I felt like a dumb blonde trying to participate in a topic I'm not educated in. But it was most entertaining to listen and observe.
We met up at this place; the four of us. We went to the one in Mid Valley as Little Miss Pearl Jam Fan was already there for a convention and is staying at the hotel.
I had the Caesar Salad. It's my all time favourite. I love the salad here and at this other sandwich outlet in The Curve. I think their Caesar Salad is the best.
And of course, I had the pavlova. It's my all time favourite dessert.
No pictures of us, though. We were so engrossed in expressing our earnest opinion, no one bothered to take piccies.
It was good to meet up with them. As you grow older, you tend to value and appreciate the friendships and relationships you once had. I'm definitely sure I don't want to lose any good friends I've made. And these gals were among two of my best buddies in UM.
It's good to catch up once in a while. I'm sure we'll try to do it more often. InsyaAllah.
