Iftar with the Pack

Madam Mermadia was most gracious in hosting and organising this Iftar for us last night, albeit not at her home in Ara Damansara but at Desa Paku, a nearby restaurant. She had a table booked for fourteen. All of us turned up except for Encik Semut as his parents were in town.

The food was scrumptious. And the price wasn't too bad at all for the buffet layout they had. There was a mixed variety of Malaysian, eastern, western and Mediterranean cuisine. All were delicious. Well, at least the ones I tasted. Even the drinks were good. I loved the teh tarik and coffee they served. However, I did wish they had replenished the pasta dishes. The pasta dishes were the first to go. But other than that, the portion they served was more than enough for all the patrons present that evening.

The gathering was also a belated birthday celebration for Miss Tweety Bird and Mr Directional Driller. The cake was supposed to be a surprise, but the makcik kedai spoilt it for us. She had to go and announce out loud that we not forget our cake which we had kept in the restaurant's fridge. Haiyaaa..

Happy sweet 36th and 18th to the both of you!!

We stopped by Madam Mermadia and Mr Directional Driller's home after iftar to visit their latest newborn. She's an absolute cutie pie.

It was a wonderful get-together of close friends. The talk, chats, laughter and gossips between the good food and drinks, couldn't have made this a more joyful event. I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people in my life.
