Movie and Theatre Outings

I'm not such a kaki wayang. In fact, I hardly ever go to the movies. The only movies I ever get to watch are either on HBO, Star Movies or DVD.

Sometimes I plan to go for the movies I'm really looking forward to seeing. But even then, I can still miss catching them. So, I usually end up watching them on ASTRO. And that only if and when they are ever shown, and only if and when I ever actually set myself up to watch some TV. Pathetic? Kinda, I guess...

But lately... I've been to the movies more times this July than when I've been able to for the past five? Maybe ten years put together??? Seriously??? Hahaha... Yes, seriously...

It started with "Wanted". Followed by the double movie marathon of "Hellboy 2" and "Hancock". After that, "Dark Knight". And last weekend, "Journey to the Centre of the Earth". And hopefully this Friday, "The Mummy 3". Ske, ske, ske!!!

And it's definitely more fun watching movies with your friends. And even more so when it's planned (or not planned?) on the spur of the moment. I like... Sometimes, I really need a break from work and gym stuff, and to just go out and have some fun with some of my best mates. It really helps take some tension off my shoulders with all that has been happening at work and with the family. Penat, uolsz!!!

Last weekend I managed to catch "Petaka Cinta" in Panggung Bandaraya. It's a dance theatre performance by DBKL. It's been a while since I've been to any dance theatres. It was fun. I'm not good at reviewing these kind of stuff, but I enjoyed myself. And the show.

There were some great dancers in the cast. Saw some old friends yang dah lama tak jumpe. Well, they can't be actually called friends. But that's the closest word I can think of calling them. They are more like my sifus.

Encik Jasz was there. Special appearance katanye... He was great. Yes, I might be biased. But no, his performance was GREAT. I miss him teaching us. Watching the show made me miss the good old dancing days of my university life. Those years were some of the best.
That's me with Encik Jasz, two of the cast members, Leo, Usop and Rijal. The three in costume, were among the best performers that night. I ske sangat tengok diorang. Leo kata I motif amik gambar sebelah Datuk Gempita. Hehehe... ;-) Kalau I tak motif, I wouldn't be me.

As Abang Mie said, perempuan nie makin lama makin tak betul sebab kepala dah banyak sangat masuk chemical sebab dok kaler rambut jer memanjang. That's Abang Mie for you. Ske buat statement maut camtu. But then, there is some truth to it. Hehehe...

Even though things are very overwhelming at work, but all in all, July was a good month for social life and activities.

I'm now looking forward to August. Krabi, here I commmmmmmmmmeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
