Sex and Toys

*Please note that this entry is not x-rated and has no reference at all to the blog title. Ngee..*

I caught two movies back-to-back last night.  I had to rush like mad from work so that I could reach e@curve in time to catch the 7.05pm show.

The 7.05pm movie involved these ladies.

I was not such a big fan when it was the TV series. So, when it went to the movies, I wasn't as enthusiastic as others in trying to watch it. I caught many of the TV episodes, but I never saw the first movie. So, I don't really know if it was all that good.

Last night I caught the second one with Encik Semut.

It was ok, I guess. I could appreciate the jokes. There were many that were sex-related (of course!), but they were kinda funny in a clean-unclean sorta of way. But personally, it would not have been a first choice movie for me. I would have given it a pass if Encik Semut had not asked me if I wanted to see it. Sorry, guys.

Now, the second movie is one I would not have missed.

Encik Semut got tickets for the 9.15pm show. But thanks to Encik Semut being unaware of the duration of the 7.05pm movie, we actually ran into the starting time of the second movie. Madam Mermadia had to wait approximately 15 minutes for us to come out. Hence, we were late entering the cinema for this movie.

It is definitely the breakout comedy of the summer. Luckily, we didn't miss too much of the starting part of the movie. Madam Mermadia, Encik Semut and I watched it in 3D. Sangat best, uolsz.

The jokes in this movie surpasses the earlier one we watched by miles. As usual, the characters are so, so cute. The evil ones were really villainous. The terrifying ones were se-se-se-scary, uolsz. The irritating ones were like damn exasperating. The dumb blonde ones were super bimbos. Owh, you get what I mean, right? It's just a fantastic movie, so everything in it was great.

I especially liked the part where they accidentally switched Buzz Lightyear into Spanish mode. Buzz Lightyear speaking Spanish is super suave and sangat chomel, uolsz. I loike.

Although the story had lotsa of fun parts, there were also some very sorrowful ones too. The one I couldn't forget most was when Andy handed over his boxful of toys to Bonnie before he had to leave for college. When Andy played with them for that last time, it was so touching, I cried. Yeah, yeah, I'm a sap, I know.

But it was really, really sad. In that last scene, the look on Andy's face when he handed Woody to Bonnie was so wistful. You could see his reluctance at giving Woody away, but he finally did because he knew it was for the best and that Bonnie would take good care of them. It's like saying goodbye to your best friends in the whole wide world and know you will never see them again. You're woebegone at letting them go, but at the same time you are glad that they are now going to a better place.

I now wonder where all my toys went. If they could talk and had feelings like the toys in this movie, they must now be super dejected at the way I've neglected them so badly.

Disney's Pixar are geniuses at creating such wonderful life-related anime. Salutes.
